La Luna - Moon Project

The first part of my Moon Project, these are just experiments to get warmed up and used to photoshop. I am really looking forward to this and hopefully will be able to get some sold. Keep an eye out :) xxx

Blogging is hard...

So I haven't blogged in a while but I have been on the Tumblr  bandwagon, so check me out here > http://tessnash.tumblr.com/

:D:D:D:D
Also I have been busy and in the time I haven't blogged I have had my first ever job in the real world, which I hated, I have had three boyfriends, I have nearly passed my driving test, made a whole load of new friends, made peace with a few old friends, just started a new job, had my first art exhibition and have another one lined up around Christmas time which is brilliant. So all in all a pretty busy few months. :P

I have a whole backload of work to post now, so that should keep me busy for a while, hope everyone enjoys it :) xxx

Dreamcatchers :)

Making a dream catcher - pretty simple and fun to do :)
For the metal hoop I used an old bracelet, so this one was quite small but sturdy ;)

An experiment in Photoshop

These are a few examples of the experimental stage of my Final Piece for college. They are a few of my favourites and am very proud of them as I think they turned out very well :)

Butterflies...again! :)

Just a few of my favourite butterflies :) The Small Pearl-bordered Fritillary, the Red Admiral, the Swallowtail, and the Monarch, (in case you were wondering) ;)

Latest Oil Painting

This is a quick picture of my latest painting, just finished it! :D I decided to do something for pure enjoyment after finishing college, and this is the result :)

Final Piece Exhibition :)

This was my piece in the Stroud College Art show; it was a huge success and had a lot of publicity! :) My Final Project was a series of etchings with accompanying texts, based on stories from my friends and family about their experiences in life. Some were inspiring, such as travelling the world, parenthood, while some were more upsetting; parents divorcing, anorexia and abandonment. All the images are based on true events, which I feel makes them more powerful as a piece. Hope you like it :) I'll be putting up close-ups of each one soon! :)

Owl Illustrations

These stylised drawings were a set of 'postcards' I designed as part of my Illustration course. They were inspired by my love of owls and dream-catchers, so I mixed the two together using extra fine liners :)The owls were based on photos of real birds; the barn, pygmy, long eared and eagle owl (in order) were the birds I chose to draw, mainly due to their distinctive features.

Edited Version

This is the final, edited version of my illustration piece and was made through use of photoshop. Usually I prefer to work in pencils rather than editing, but I am happy with the results and will definitely use photoshop again :)
